I like using both chips and smaller chunks in these with some shallots and a few other herbs to go along with the wood. If your working close to your heat source you may want to put a small sheet of foil beneath this smoker box.
My order was shipped in a timely fashion and was carefully packaged in a box inside of another shipping box.
