(More customer reviews)I used these to make 4 small batches of sausage - significantly over the 15 pounds advertised, so that's good.
Unlike other sausage casings I have used that were simply loose in a package, these are strung onto a plastic sleeve. On the first batch I ripped the plastic creating a sharp edge that tore the casing in several spots getting it off. It was still mostly usable, but definitely a hassle. I learned my lesson on that one and it went much better on the other batches. It's not hard, but clearly not idiot-proof, so some clear instructions would have been helpful.
I also found that I had to be very careful when twisting to make links - it seems to tear easier than I expected. But this is my first time using sheep - always pork in the past - so maybe that's normal.
I'm satisfied, but will also shop around for other brands, too.
