(More customer reviews)I recently purchased a Mini Hibachi Grill from House of Rice through Amazon.com and was very happy with it. It was for a gift, so I was glad to see that it came very secure, and with all of its parts. (Nothing was broken, everything was there.) I have been looking for this particular item for a very long time...my best friend saw it at a local restraunt where they put sterno gel in it and cooked marshmallows over it, making s'mores. Super cute...needless to say, she was thrilled with her birthday present ;-). I wish it would have come sooner (I had to give it to her late). Other than that, very pleased with my purchase!!! Thanks!

(More customer reviews)This little novelty is a pretty cool idea, but it's actual use kinda sucks.It lights charcoal perfectly well but will only do one piece at a time.This means you have to stand there and light piece after piece and then somehow stack your new charcoal on top of the ones that are already lit.This is a difficult task when you have several white hot pieces of charcoal roarin' already.I think typical element type lighters work far better.

(More customer reviews)This grill is really nothing more than the charcoal pan from the more expensive Brinkman "Gourmet" smoker.The gourmet smoker can grill or smoke, and I've used this numerous times to grill.We find it to be just large enough to grill for our family of 4.The coal pan is pretty heavy gauge metal.The outer pan with the feet is thinner, but doesn't get too hot.You may want to consider buying the Gourmet instead.If you buy it at a home center, for about 1/3 more in price, you get a whole smoker.Either way, it's rugged, and small enough to take anywhere.

Bradley Smoke Generator with Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)This thing worked like a charm for about four months.The smoke was perfect.I loved it.Then it started feeding the smoke biscuits continually instead of one every 15 minutes.I took it apart and couldn't get it to stop.Probably a lower tech approach to smoke generation would work more reliably.

I've seen a few other brands and models on the market so I'll try one of those.

Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Aluminum Charcoal and Ash Scoop Review

(More customer reviews)Before I bought this for moving charcoal the three feet from the container to the grill, I tried using tongs.The little bits always slipped out, particularly when using lump charcoal instead of briquettes. Took forever, too.Then I tried using a plastic mixing bowl.I couldn't get the charcoal to scoop well because the lip was too thick and the bowl wasn't the right shape. Plus, the plastic is now scratched and seems to be permanently black at the top from the charcoal.Clearly not the best idea I've had lately.

This scoop solved all that.It is large, and seems like it would stop a bullet.It has a nice polish that looks nice, while not collecting charcoal dust.All aluminum means it won't rust when left outside (as mine is).

Surprisingly good quality -- it looks like it cost a hundred dollars at a specialty store.Would make a good gift, especially if you notice that the griller in your life has been scratching up the mixing bowls.

Earthenware Portable Hibachi Grill Review

(More customer reviews)Do not buy this!!!!The pretty lettering is just a piece of paper pasted on.The pot is just dried clay, not even sure if it was fired.
The paper washed off and so did the white paint on the clay.It is about four inches square. Too small for anything, really. I tried to return it with a complaint and was told that it was never advertized as "fired".I do not know but the word "earthenware" means an item that was fired, to me.Was severly disappointed.
