(More customer reviews)The photos show this charcoal starter as having a bend at the bottom, making it more suitable for kettle style grills, Big Green Eggs, etc.It doesn't.The heating element is straight all the way down. It's not easy but if you work at it you can bend it yourself.I did and mine didn't kink and doesn't seem to have suffered from the bending. Straight or bent, the element heats well and starts even difficult-to-light charcoal in my BGE nicely.Using it isn't as much fun as my weed burner, though!:-)
